HELP US CELEBRATE IN 2025
Live music, food and drinks will be here at The Slips, where the crowd gathers to celebrate the 4th of July and watch fireworks launched at 9:15PM over the Yeocomico River. Hosted by the Yeocomico Club, The Slips, The Kinsale Market, and the Cople Volunteer Fire Department it’s a great annual community event. The local support makes it possible to put on the fabulous fireworks show each year, and we really appreciate your donations!
Getting Here
Kinsale is a historic port town in Westmoreland County, right off the Potomac River. You can reach us by river or road on the 4th.
If coming by boat, please reserve a spot at The Slips for the day by emailing crew@the-slips.com ahead of time. Slips cost $40/boat for the day and $75/boat if staying overnight.
Schedule
5PM - 9:15PM | Food, Drinks & Music
The food tent opens and the Hard to Tell Band starts playing at 5PM right by the bridge. Come on down, bring a chair, and set up for a night of fun. The Kinsale Market will be selling food and the Yeocomico Club is serving drinks. Amish ice cream will also be there!
7:30-8PM | Boat Parade
Dressed up boats parade by the marina and under the bridge - cheer them on as we reward the best decorated boats with prizes
9:15-9:35 PM | Fireworks Show
A grand show lights up the night over the Yeocomico River, provided by the Fire Dept
A few lots in town will be marked and available for free parking - including handicap parking at the Museum, and parking at the Fire House and Clay’s lot across the bridge. Rivah Vineyards will also be open for the day and is about a 0.8 mile walk to the marina.
Boat Parade
The Boat Parade is a fun part of the day and we'd love to see boats of all shapes and sizes decorated up for the crowd to enjoy! If you can participate, please fill out the form linked below so you're on the list. All boats that are decorated and participating in the parade can dock at the marina for a discounted rate of $10 total for the day.
