HELP US CELEBRATE IN 2025
Live music, food and drinks will be here at The Slips, where the crowd gathers to celebrate the 4th of July and watch fireworks launched at 9:15PM over the Yeocomico River. Hosted by the Yeocomico Club, The Slips, The Kinsale Market, and the Cople Volunteer Fire Department it’s a great annual community event. The local support makes it possible to put on the fabulous fireworks show each year, and we really appreciate your donations!
On Friday the main road through town will close starting at the Kinsale Market and extending across the bridge at 4PM. Plan to park in one of the designated lots on either side of the bridge and remember to bring a chair and bring cash. The fun starts at 5PM, read on for all the details!
Getting Here
Kinsale is a historic port town in Westmoreland County, right off the Potomac River. You can reach us by river or road on the 4th.
If coming by boat, please reserve a spot at The Slips for the day by emailing crew@the-slips.com ahead of time. Slips cost $40/boat for the day and $75/boat if staying overnight.
The marina clubhouse will be open to Yeocomico Club members only during the festivities on Friday. Porta potties and an outside bar will be available to the general public.

5PM - 9:15PM | Food, Drinks & Music
The Hard to Tell Band starts playing at 5PM right by the bridge. Come on down, bring a chair, and set up for a night of fun. Food and Drinks will be sold there by the bridge and at The Kinsale Market.
7PM - 8:30PM | River Games
Watch from the bridge and the banks as participants compete in games on the river, hosted by the Kinsale Waterfront Foundation. Come ready to get a little wet if you’d like to take part!
9:15 - 9:35 PM | Fireworks Show
A grand show lights up the night over the Yeocomico River, provided by the Fire Dept
A few lots in town will be marked and available for free parking - including handicap parking at the Museum, and parking at the Fire House and Clay’s lot across the bridge. Rivah Vineyards will also be open for the day and is about a 0.8 mile walk to the marina.
